since we have no idea of your background, your current level of electronics knowledge
its a little difficult to offer constructive help

What is m-tech ?
what is your current level of education?
what is your current level of electronics understanding/background?

I am a graduate in Electronics and Communication engineering referred to a
b-tech(bachelor of technology) in India.
Similarly M-tech refers of master of technology following which one can do Phd or carry out m-tech and Phd on an integrated basis.
At the m-tech level one has to choose between specializations like- Digital Electronics;Micro electronics and VLSI design; Embedded Systems;Communication Engineering etc

I am thinking of a choice between the first two.
Also I am interested in knowing, how it is like in countries like Australia; Dont you specialize at the masters level? Or is studies carried out over electronics as a whole?

Most importantly I am interested in knowing the ongoing research in Digital Electronics to see whether I have true aptitude in that area.

Thanks in advance.
