Hey ! My dishwasher board started to smoke the other day, nothing is working anymore ! Heres a photo ;

Do you think it's possible to bypass the burned area so it can work again but with fewer options ?

The burned area is the power supply for the board. It's extensive damage that most likely isn't readily repaired other than by replacement.

A 'hardened' i.e. experienced tech might give it a go but there looks to be some actual physical damage to the board as well as the components. Check for a used board on the auction sites and/or white good specific forums.

Even if the damaged parts are replaced the odds on the fault extending further into the board (the actual control electronics) seems high.

I have lucked out I guess so far on a electric stove and a clothes washer.

So give it a go, not much to lose other than a few bucks.

But to kellys_eye point if you can find someoine on ebay or wherever for low cost
I would go for that. Typical ebay sales -

Regards, Dana.
