Hi just required new solar panels fitted and they never fitted the display
unit, which tell me if its working. Does the panel tells me that unit is
working and when its not. I haven't got the unit, so that is why I am asking
you. I have looked on the web and they looked complicated to understand, and
are they? if I buy one will they record MY panels. he governmant scheme is
that get free electricity when its light and what I do not use the Nat Grid
as the rest, as I have said I do not know when its producing or not

yes an inverter, its the unit that does on the wall to tell you that you
are producing. They didn't leave this unit

I don't know if they are complicated, they look complicated

I don't know what they are producing, ( no inverter )

If I get an inverter, will they show me if I am producing and when its not

Does all inverter fit all?

OK, new panels

and they never fitted the display unit, which tell me if its working.

display unit... is that an inverter without a display, or something else?
(Extremely cheap inverter if it is!!). Explain more

Does the panel tells me that unit is working and when its not.

Panels don't tell you anything -they just produce electricity
(that's if I've understood what you mean by "panel" - or do you mean "display
panel"). Again - more explanation, please

I haven't got the unit, so that is why I am asking you.
What do you mean by "unit"? The inverter?
Or are you referring to a separate monitoring unit like a Watts Clever, Efergy,
Current cost, or other monitoring system

I have looked on the web and they looked complicated to understand, and
are they?

No - very easy to understand (if you're referring to an add-on system)

if I buy one will they record MY panels.

Depends on where you connect it to. If it's your system, yes, YOUR panels.
If you hook it up to the next-door neighbour's solar array, do you think it
would monitor YOUR array?

If you're referring to an inverter, no, they only display voltage, current,
grid-lock, error messages etc - they don't RECORD anything.

That's left to the electricity meter, albeit it would only be the DIFFERENCE
between what you're using and what you're producing. Some time during the middle
of the day, when the panels are producing the most power, it could be recording
what you're feeding back. (solar power less the power you're consuming). At
night, it WILL be recording what you're using (no sun!!)

he governmant scheme is that get free electricity when its light and what I do
not use the Nat Grid
as the rest, as I have said I do not know when its producing or not
Now you've got me - I think I need an interpreter

If all this is about some sort of monitoring on the DC output of the solar
panels, then find a friend who is an electrician. He'll explain what a
multimeter is, and what it can do

I just don't know if he panels are working or not..The have fitted the
panels and no inverted to tell me if its generating or not. So how would I
know. They have never fitted an inverter ( I think ) does one inverter fit
all solar panels ( I wrote the first mail in haste ). There is no way i can
tell if its on or off

The electronics to go with panels need to be compatible with the panel
instalation. The panel installation can produce different voltages and currents,
and the electronics need to match. The electronics can be things such as charge
controllers for battery installations, and inverters to produce AC "line"
voltage for household use.

thanks fir the reply. I have had another word with them but all I get is
lies, and boy they are good at it. I am thinking of writing to them and
telling them to take it away and trying to get another company to fit
another one and asking them to they " do they fit a convertor " and take it
from there

thanks
