--Have traced a gazillion glitches to a faulty UPS. Time to upgrade
to a better one but I'm thinking it's not much more than a couple of
batteries and an inverter, yes? Looking for plans to roll my own. Anyone got
a favorite?

I think building a sine wave inverter that will put out a couple
hundred watts is doable with a big transformer. The hard part about
the grid tie bit is the sync and control. Needs to be recalculateded
throughout the cycle. Needs a DSP.

Infinitely easier, simpler and probably cheaper to just buy one.

Dave.

Hi Dave. Regular old inverters are pretty inexpensive lately... but I
can't seem to find a smallish gridtie inverter... couple hundred
watts, couple hundred bucks or so? Exceltech sort of hints that they
have one, but thery sure dont have a 'buy' button next to it. Got any
links?
