Dual inductor/single core question

I have wound 2 inductors on a split powered magnetic material "E" core. The windings are bifilar in makeup. Each identical inductor is connected, in series, to a variable capacitor. One of two dual but opposite pulsed input signals are connected to each of the two circuits. The variable capacitor allow for "tuning" each circuit to the same frequency. This can cause increased level voltages to be generated that can be tapped off and then rectified to higher voltage DC; if/when the circuit becomes resonant. The circuitry has been successfully working for months.
But now, the transformer core has developed a repedative physically moving "tick" that manifests itself in a physical movement of the core on it's frame. This "tick" also causes an electronic interference, making working with an oscilliscope almost impossible.
There has been no physical changes to the circuitry, but is it possible that a change in the input signal cause such a reaction.
Any ideas and/or help is appreciated.

Sounds like the frequency may be causing the inductor coils to vibrate. (Or possibly an actual ambient temperature change where you're at, from winter temperatures to summer ones).
Have you considered 'Q-Dope', or some other laquer from a place like GC Electronics, to hold the inductor coils in place?

A less likely possibility is that the core has fractured. What material is the core constructed from?

What power levels are used in this circuit?

My first thought was the one from the post above though.
