Dear Anyone,

You are requested to give me details of effect of TEMPERATURE
variations on CPU performance

for Intel Pentium-4/ AMD AthelonXP processor.

If I am keeping the CPU under cold controlled atmosphere(<10degC),
performance will be increased?

Thank You!

As long as the die itself does not get overheated *and* there is not
excessive temperature cycling, then the CPU has a high probability of
lasting many years.
Temperatures less than 25C tend to make the signals in the part move
slower.
This means that a cold (<10C) CPU will more likely to be unreliable if
overclocked, and warming it up to 25C would tend to increase reliability
for the same overclocking.
I would not be surprised if some CPUs would not work at standard clock
rates, if cooled to -55C (the low end of MIL spec temperature range).

Thank You!

Could you please help again?

What can be the best operating temperature range for a CPU, obviously
above 25degC, but upto what temp. it can process data at peak speed?
