Electromagnet

Hi,

Newbie here. Just wondering, If I were to use this electromagnet with a 12V car battery, roughly what kind of run time could I expect to get before having to recharge the battery?

hi,
it says 6.2 Watts for the 50mm one

so with a formula of Watts = Volts x Amps or Amps = Watts / Volts
work out the current drain

once you have worked out the current drain then you need to work out the battery life for a
given A/hr rating of our battery

for example ..... a battery with a say 120A/hr rating would last ~ 240 hrs give or take a bit
with a 500mA drain

find out the rating of your battery its prob is on the battery label

post your results and we can check them
