Hello, My name is Ben, and I am an electronics student(1st year)
I was lurking at this news group and was wondering if it would be okay to
post electronics questions I have? Most are simple things like TTLs and
suck.
Thank you all for your time!:)

I'm sorry, I'm afraid you'll have to find another NG for those suck
questions.

Well, the trick is to understand the questions enough to at least
be able to rewrite them so they don't look like someone's homework.
It is so obviously homework when there is a string of questions,
usually numbered, that don't have a lot of relevance to each other.
For that matter, they aren't prefaced by the real world; "I was
reading a book about computers, and I still can't see how ICs would
be useful, or even why they have to be digital", or "I'm building
a power supply, the book says to use specific types of capacitors
on the regulator, and I can't grasp why?".

Hi, Ben,

Sure, just don't post obvious homework questions or people are liable
to get sardonic.

You use caps and punctuation, which is more than most students can
manage!

Thanks all! I have no problem with trying to teach myself, so won't use the
NG as a "freebie" board, but only when I am truly stumped. I see I already
started off on the wrong foot with that typo error, lol.
Anyway, another thanks, and you'll all see stuff from me put up time to
time.:)

As Red Green says, "we're all in this together",

and as Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor says, "If you can't fix it--duck it".

Too true! Just don't expect everyone to agree on the answers all the time!
