It seems to be an issue with the added LaTeX functionality: $ is a LaTeX delimiter.
The LaTeX interpreter seems to jump in even when not called for. Escaping by \$ should help: \$. But this shows the dollar sign inluding the backslash
We may run into issues with a few other characters, too, considered to be special by LaTeX:

The equation editor should not interfere with normal text. It should only be activated when called for by the f(x) button.

Those other charcters seem to work fine:
&abc
%abc
$abc
#abc
_abc
{abc
}abc
but then again the dollar sign doesn't cause issue in this simple test either.

That's the Project Logs Discussion section. It's the logs themselves that aren't there.
BTW: If you open any of the Project Log Discussions and click the link in the first post you get a similar error message.

I really can’t see how EP has merged with maker pro. No merging has taken place other than a website name change. If this is true, you will lose members. I can’t for the life of me see the point. EP once merged with AAC, is this still a thing? Or has that gone too?.

Unless there is some obvious reason, wondering why my post from earlier today didn't get shown.
I can see it if I look at "my content" but it doen't appear in new posts.
No problem for now as I sort of jumped the gun and I sorted it myself, but like I said before, start changing things for no reason and things go belly-up.

I think what you are looking for appears when you mouse over the member's name or avatar pic.
