The advantage of an unmoderated Usenet newsgroup is that nobody can censor
it. The disadvantage of an unmoderated Usenet newsgroup is that it has to
accept spam. If you're ever lucky enough to meet someone who brags about
how much spam he posts, you can kick the crap out of him, to the applause
of most of the Usenet world. Meanwhile, use a newsreader that supports
filters.

Nah, the veggies will be Darwinized in a generation or two. We are
omnivores, after all. And like they say, "If God hadn't wanted people to
eat animals, why did She make them out of food?" ;-)

Cheers!

There is an interesting distinction between censorship and doing business
with spammers.

Community pressure can fix the latter problem.
