am looking for a place where I can buy an adapter (or actually several
adapters) for a cutler-hammer manual transfer switch cable male end plug

the cutler-hammer transfer switch is installed and the plug-in box is on
outside wall of house. the kit came with a standard 4-prong plug and I need
to find an easy way to make the male end (also 4-prong) fit just about any
type of 7500w or less generator 220v plug

if anyone can recommend some places on the web I would surely appreciate it

I understand I could just remove the existing cable end insert a plug for
"that model generator" but I would prefer having on hand a few different
types of adapters which would then allow me to use any generator (and
without having to remove and re-attach another plug to the cable)

What your looking for should be available in the directions of the transfer
switch.

Standard 4 pronged plug he says....... voltage, number of amps and the type
are needed to help ya.
There are straight blade, twist lock and cannon plugs just to name a few of
the types out there.

You also need to know if your generator neutral is grounded internally,
WHICH IS LIKELY. You may have to change this situation internally to get the
unit to work properly with the breakers in the transfer switch or the panel
your feeding.

maybe not all the info (am working at another location at the moment..) but
it's a 7500w, 30amp - 125/250v, 4 prong (one end is female, other end is
male) - the female end insert into the box on the wall so nothing changes at
that end

I took a look at the nema chart (thanks preppy!) and the male plug is 18-30P
or 18-30R on
http://www.leviton.com/sections/techsupp/nema.htm

does that help any to get me closer?
