Oh please. What's this, The End of Times, The Rapture, The Apocalypse? Or,
more sectarian, The Sky Is Falling? From sea level rising a few cm? Riots
in the streets from the weather changing around some, as bad as, maybe, it
always did?

How do we know that global warming (oops, excuse me, "climate change")
isn't a good thing overall?

I'd go on, but this is really too silly to parody. Back to installing
light fixtures. CF's, of course, so as to be kind to Mother Earth.

I must admit, it makes me feel very, very good that there are people who
still honor Mother Earth. And, so, by synchronicity, The Mother of the

politicians response to "the crisis" much, much more than the actual

Why should this worry us?

.... because the politicians will get the urge to legislate, they will
form a mob competing in proposing "solution" and generally make a mess
of things and *we* get to pay the price!

Like the "war on terror", the "war on drugs", the "war on powerty" -
whatever complex, interconnected problem they touch, they end up being
a part of, dragging us into it too!!

Or Katrina? Guess they're still struggling with the concept of "negative
surplus" meaning they passed through zero somewhere along the way. But
then again "failure" is another concept they refuse to recognize or
acknowledge, so what can you expect.

bravest and finest young men to create Sharia Law in Iraq and
Afghanistan! Just like Osama would have wanted it!!

a better Saddam than Saddam in Iraq. It's a good thing that the
Cineese lent the money to the US rather than flaying the US taxpayers.

What I wonder is, howcome nobody has looked at what antics the US Govt
was up to just _before_ the 9/11 event. I think it was simply retaliation
for the crusades that have been inflicted on the Arab world by "The West"
for centuries.
