Goodmans W288NS CRT TV fault

Hi,

I have an eight year old Goodmans W288NS stereo TV which has recently
developed the following fault:

When using either of the two SCART inputs or the component input (red/
yellow/white sockets) there is no sound from the left hand speaker.

When using the component (coax) input both speakers work fine.

Is anyone able to assist with this problem please?

it might be a bad solder joint. this is unusual - maybe a switching
problem?
