Hello
Hard disk drives are used for data storage in DVD recorders.
For computers I understand that it has got FAT and standard procedures
for HDD access via IDE cable.
But what about DVD recorders?
Does anybody know about how the data is stored in the HDD drives used
in DVD recorders?
I wish to read the HDD used in DVD recorders with a computer.
Will it be possible?
Regards

Welcome to Build Your Own PVR!
This is a community driven discussion for building your own PVR / DVR / HTPC
(think Tivo without a recurring $ub$cription). Anything from mini-itx, case
modding, which video card, to which software package is most advanced is
fair game.

probably not FAT, more likely EXTFS or NTFS.

maybe.
