Have trouble figuring out what's wrong with the 220v inverter.

Hi, I made the inverter circuit as shown. But I used irfz44n Mosfet and a 7.6 - 0 7.6v transformer. First to make sure the circuit was working I tried with a 9v battery and then got the output of 121v. Then I connected to a used hybrid battery pack of around 15.8v. Suddenly a spark came from the circuit I think now the MOSFETs are blown. Can u guys figure out what's wrong? I am waiting for a quick reply!! Thank You!!

Do you have a pic of prototype ?

An IRFZ has large input C, a 4017 cant properly drive it. Where did this
schematic come from ? Your 4017 cant provide adequate dead time
timing ......Do you have a scope so you can look at timing ?

You have no gate L supppresion resistors in circuit.

I don't know much in deep about electronics. If u can, can u send me a diagram to make an inverter that works for a hybrid battery pack that has a voltage of around 15.8v and a transformer of 7.6 - 0 - 7.6v.
