I know this is a little nerdy, but whatever. I originally wanted one of
those tacky musical horns, to play the star wars or empirial march theme...
can't find one, so what if I built a small circuit board that I could either
digitize 15 seconds of audio and play back through a speaker under the hood,
or maybe a circuit that would load midi (.mid) files onto, and that would
play when triggered ???

Surely someone here can help, or point me in the right direction? ANY help
would be greatly appreciated.

If you can convert the music into a list of pitch-duration pairs something
like this could do it.

it worked for me.
I was able to convert midi files into the pitch-duration pairs suitable for
inclusion in the assembler source using some freeware command-line tools
and a (freeware) spreadsheet.

Bye.
