The battery will be backing up some RAM which may just be a clock but could equally be some calibration software (again in RAM).

If the unit is programmable (front panel buttons?) have you checked any parameters such as the 'set temperature' etc?

Battery is usually 3.6V. If all units are showing a low battery then it's likely that this is the cause of the fault.

Yeah I've checked all the parameters inside of the software. The purchasing department should have ordered the batteries today otherwise they'll purchase them tomorrow. Hopefully have them by the end of the week.

With the battery flat you lose the stored values every time you switch off. I'd have picked up on the battery as an issue earlier but it's such a 'basic' thing I thought you'd have already checked it!

28049745.jpg I think it actually stores that in a different way. Each time I power it on it comes up as -20. It's very hard to miss as seen in the picture. However this is from one that was listed and sold already but just showing how easy it is to see the set temp.

Honestly though, I do normally check batteries as a first thing but somehow overlooked it this time.

Just to update. The battery has been replaced and no change is found. Still with the same issue as before. Currently looking more into some things.
