Hi good folks, new member here. I am looking to power up a small viewfinder display. The Sony camera where the part came from was non functional and cannot find any related info on this. It appears that the video processor is tied onto the back of the display and im guessing that this can be run stand alone with a single composite input but... I have no idea where to begin on powering it up and feeding a video signal.

Any suggestions on how to get through this? S1200007.JPG S1200007.JPG

Hello and welcome to Electronics Point :)

It looks like there are at least 20 connections to it.
I wouldn't assume that it accepts a composite video signal.

Try Googling the part numbers of the large ICs on it. Don't expect to have any luck though; they're probably custom Sony devices.

As Kris suggests, you may need to surf google to get more details.

It could be proprietary connection, or a proprietary signal... or it could be something standard > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_Serial_Interface

In any case, I'm sure you'll get more help if you share more of the knitty gritty details.. ie, model numbers and close-up pics of the parts so we can read the print on the ICs. (Or have you label them for us)

Thanks for the help, I will get some more pics of each board. Been a busy week and haven't had the chance.
