I am trying to find a direct replacement for a momentary switch for my LG dryer start button. I have attached a couple photos for reference. I need to find an exact replacement as the start button makes contact with the momentary switch in order to start the machine. I have not had very much luck trying to find an exact replacement. If anyone could provide some direction it would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks!

I briefly looked at Digikey and didn't see anything but with all the switches in the world it might help you to use a search like Digikey has and input the dimensions, note # of pins and spacing. Are there voltage and current ratings molded into it or even a manufacturer logo?

If worst comes to worst, any chance of removing the start button and putting a panel mount switch in its place? Granted many panel mounts are rather tall, can't guess if there is enough clearance between the hole and what I assume is the PCB right behind it that the switch is soldered onto?

Heh, that's not really worst though, if you really had to you could drill a new hole somewhere for a panel mount switch and wire it to the PCB.

Sir jchase88 . . . . . (relying upon the masculinesque fingers)

That tact switch is pressed down by a more decorative push button inset on the control panel. . . . as you said.

Your photos . . . . is being but one, so I am seeing in the above photo that that unit is using only two contact leads . . . .while the MAJORITY of tacts that I have seen use paired leads in a quad arrangement. An ohmmeter will reveal the two redundant (shorted) leads.
Now you can go to the multiple sites below and pay your . . . . .upwards of $10.00 of your hard earned Amellican dollah and then be

Switch Sourcing . . . a la ORIGINALE

OR my DEFINITE choice would be to get an Omron unit from the Mouse house . . . .with their no minimum order policy.
Their price is being less than a dollar for a switch. . . . . .such a deal already ! . . . .plus QUICK shipment.

B3F series on page 5 . . . . . see if that 1st top left unit is not the same or being of more length than is needed. If so hold the shaft in its center with needle nose pliers and then grind down the very end to the required length.
You can still adjust the mounting leads in their soldering length being entered into the pcb if you are STILL experiencing any shaft length error.

https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/307/en-b3f-13826.pdf

Page 7 has the options of only 2 leads offset 180 degrees. . . . . . study that and figure out the two lead option or ask Mouser helpline.
Myself . . . .I would just use the 4 lead and cut off or 1/2 fold under the 2 redundant leads and then swing the two leads used for mounting . . . off 45 degrees.

BUT . . . . . then In looking at EXACTLY what the Mouse house actually has in stock
Looks like its 4 leads and probably has a l o n g enough shaft

My goal for 2021 was to lose just 10 pounds. . . . . . . Now only 35 to go.
