Hello everyone,

This is my first time here and I need help in indentifying this component. To give some background, I am trying to repair a headphones and this SMD component heats up when it's powered on. It might be a SOT23-5 or SOT353 component. The center to center pin distance is approx. 0.95mm.

The marking on the component is as follows:
Line 1: 7831
Line 2: 1706J

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I read 783I.
This could be a TPS783 voltage regulator (datasheet). Check it's input and output voltages (oinout see datasheet). It is not unusual for a voltage regulator to heat up in operation. As long as the voltages are o.k. all is good.
