It looks like your surround system is powered, so it already has an amp.
Any DVD player will work with it.
What inputs does the woofer have on the back?
What is the model number? The picture is blurred..

Let's wait and seeI agree with your statement Gryd3.
However, it is only a connector that (some cases) powers the DVD player, and all that is left is the audio!
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out the left and right channels. The 5.1 amp does the rest.
The OP hasn't replied with the model number yet. But I bet it's very easy!.
