Help with my bridge type ac/dc converter power supply

The output of my power supply produces a really low dc output than it should be. Then I find out that it also emits ac output. So it is like that some of the ac should have been a dc to provide the right dc output.

Anyway this my first project so I really know little yet about electronics. So any help would be appreciated.

Show us a schematic of your circuit and the waveforms observed.

From the little information you give one could assume that you forgit the smoothing capacitors after the bridge rectifier.
