Hi there community, would like to ask for some help of your expert knowdlege.

I've bought an old Pioneer CDJ-1000MK3 player working perfectly, only one problem, led lights of the buttons doesn't work. It seems a common situation with these units, and I have found and old thread on this forum guiding me to the right direction, a pico fuse in the power board needs replacement.

I'm a total newbie here, as I can't find a proper fuse replacement. Pioneer recommends using the original spare part, but I can't find and identical one, seems like an old electronic no longer available. The fuse spare part ID is an "AEK7003", and its a T315ma fuse. Something like the photo.

My question. Could I use a generic replacement? Let's say, a 250mA or 500mA pico fuse?

Thanks for your help

Not sure if an identical replacement is available but 'any' 315mA fuse would work. If you're not too fussy over aesthetics then solder wires to the ends of a standard 20mm fuse and cover it in heatshrink, solder into place.....

Don't EVER use a fuse of a higher rating - that invites disaster.

Thanks for your advices! I could try your glass fuse solution but I have found some generic picofuses of 315mA with the same design of the Pioneer ones and have bought it. Will wait for them to arrive and confirm (or not) that the problem was only the fuse.

Lesson learned with the higher rating fuses, thanks again.
