Hi !!!

I'm in need of using a fast 8bit binary counter up to 100-150MHZ, I'm
thinking on using a 74F269 or 74F779 but because I will using
them on it's upper limits I don't know if it will work fine. Any
suggestion ? (I'm also looking at a FPGA or PLD for doing
the work).

Thanks !

At that frequencies the circuit design becomes important (stray
capacitances, inductivities etc), so I'd go with an integrated
solution and keep as much as possible of the high frequency stuff
inside the chip.
Does it have to be a synchronous counter? Are all outputs to be used
or will it be used as a frequency divider?

Like a FPGA or so ?

Syncronous counter, I'll be using all outputs to diferent circuits but
it will work mostly like a frequency divider.

Thanks!
