I am trying to make a battery of my own and would like to ask if the distance of them would affect my voltage somehow. Thanks for the help :)

It won't affect the voltage, but it will affect the internal resistance, and thus the voltage under load. That assumes there are not other things which affect it more.

Umm.. Thanks! But I don't understand. The internal resistance?
I read through some websites and it said that if the cathode and anode are closer, the voltage will increase and so will the amperes.

The electrolyte has resistance. The further current has to flow through it, the higher the resistance. Higher resistance = more power lost under load.
