I'm new to electronics and just purchased my first breadboard. It has two
voltage terminal posts and one ground post. How do I connect power to the
posts? The posts look like the ones I have on the back of my stereo
receiver for my speakers.

If have a wall wart which can output1.5 to 12 volts but it won't connect to
the posts without me cutting the wires.

Here are a couple of ways you could do it:

1) Buy a connector which will mate with the connector on your wall wart,
then connect wires to the bread board from that connector.

2) Cut the wires. If you need to use the wall wart for other things
just keep the connector end, then you can connect it back to the wall
wart with, for example, terminal block.
