I want to know how to bias a particular IGBT i.e calculate the impedance ,voltage & current values. How do i estimate values of Rd,Re to be used for a specific IGBT??looking to design a circuit on MULTISIM which has 16 paralleled connections of IGBT with input voltage and current of 150v DC and 8A.

I'm not sure I understand you. "bias" does not mean "calculate the impedance, voltage and current".

Are you wanting to share the current across 16 IGBT's?

Is your total current 8A? Why not use just a single IGBT?

Yes,the total current is 8A and i want to share it across the 16 IGBT s.I would also like to know, given an IGBT,say for example ,IRG4PC30S(just as an example) how do i estimate the values of the values of Re,Rd etc.. ,given my input of 150v and 8A ?

Are you using the IGBT for switching (i.e. it's either on or off)?

If so, a single IRG4PC30S is all you require. It is a 600V 18A device. With a Vce(on) of 1.4V, the dissipation will be just over 11W.

Why would you want to use 16 of them?

For methods of calculating rD and rC, see page 4 of this.
