Solder female DuPont wires to the grd, 5v, RX, TX pins on the lower right side of the Arduino as shown in the image below. Now you should be able to add the shield and plug in the Bluetooth module. I searched Google and YouTube and no one showed this idea.
Given that comms to/from the BT module is simple serial protocol I would have thought that anyone familiar with the Arduino would figure that connection out quite readily.
I wander if BT module is +5V tolerant at inputs, as most arduino are 5V devices. Otherwise you are risking to damage BT not using logic level converter
