for a small voice recorder to fit inside another device.

recorder needs to be small, 20mm or so in diameter, no thicker than 2mm, be activated manually by squeezing/pressing a button on the device. It needs to include a speaker to play back the recording, and a method to play back and delete recordings.

can be raw, no covering or skin, as it will placed inside a case. in fact, the case will articulate to allow the button to be pressed.

I cant make it for you, but u might be able to find the smallest microcontroller you can, and hook a wifi and microphone to it.

Its 240megahertz too, pretty good processing speed. I think it actually does have a store of memory on it that's sizeable, but wifi'ing it to a hard disk it could do as well.

Not sure how to get the little microphone, but its guaranteed to be really small! cause they make pinhole cameras too, and they are way harder to make than a microphone, I think you can almost just use a wire! im not sure tho, ive never actually done it before, But I saw it on a you-tube video.

The problem with recording is that the microphone has to be deep enough to resonate sound(you can cheat and math it to death). Thats a rough 6mm deep lie.. that means your mic will have to sit laterally in your 22mm hole. You can make a 2mm doped disk with the circuit on it, but I think after you pinout and power it that you will be talking about alot more digm.. so ask the old frogs in the swamp and they will tell you croak croak croak!!! All modern micro miniturized electronics today have one of these built into them. Take apart your brothers phone and see if there's one in there you can steal! or borrow as the case may be!

Unless you can make one using parts from mobile phones then this is a problem that will take a LOT of skill and (potentially) expense. 2mm thick? To include the mic/speaker? Not even sure a mobile phone speaker on it's own is that small??? (a speaker can be used as a microphone too so you only need the one part in that respect).

Start by finding out if there's a surface-mount version of an audio recording/playback chip. ISTR that there used to be some greetings cards that allowed you to record/playback audio greetings - maybe check out the card stores?
