Hi all,
Am new around here, and am a beginner in electronics... I am working
on a sonar parking sensor which needs a 40106 IC. I could not find
this IC in the local market!!! There are very few suppliers around
here...

Are there any equivalent IC to replace the 40106?
Or has any one got another schematic of a sonar parking sensor which
does not use 40106

Thanx a lot

Here is a the schematic...

Never heard of a 40106 but the symbol on the IC in the schematic
indicates a schmitt trigger and the pinouts are identical to CMOS 4584
which is a hex schmitt trigger. This package can be used with voltage
levels of +3 to +15 volts. I would substitute and move on.

Hope this helps.

Thanx for the info...

You are right, I also searched and found out that 40106 are "Hex
inverters with schmitt-trigger inputs", Don't know what it really
means but I will go ahead with what you have suggested... Thanx again

The 40106 is a CMOS Hex Schmitt Trigger.

I don't see any replacements for it, but it should still be available.

The 4584 should be an exact replacement as stated in an earlier reply.
