Hi guys,

I recently got some 64pin/TQPF chips and I want to try out some
experiments on my bread board before going any further. But as we are
aware that the breadboard can only take DIP based IC.I would like to
know of other possible solutions to use non-DIP IC's,i.e. to convert
them to DIP.I searched the net and found some programming adapters but
they all cost a fortune, something like $220US for a single 64pin/TQPF
to DIP adapter.I was thinking of getting good quality PCB's and have a
TQPF socket on one side and DIP pins on the other site for moutin
purposes. Please suggest some soluttions to my problem.

Thank You,
Prizark

I had the same problem with a 48pins/LQFP and the quickest solution i
found, was making the adapter for the breadboard by myself using
protel, take about 1 1/2 hours since you start the design until you
solder the chip.
What was that "programming adapters"? that cost 220$?? i don´t get it,
why so much investment for so simple task.
