ICOM IC-260 A/E Service manual

Hello all,

I am looking for the Service manual for the Icom IC-260 A/E, eventually in PDF form.
I have already the schematics and the user manual, but need the alignments from the Service Manual, because the sets are misaligned by someone with the famous golden screwdriver.
Found one source for the manual but they are asking a lot of money, so if there is somebody that has one and could help me out,

Thanks for the info. I had all the info from mods.dk, only the service manual from the IC-260A is nowhere to be found.
I have two of this 2m transceivers restored and repaired, and they are functional now.
To finish things off I like to align them according the service manual.
The FCC site you mention,has no further info, think they are to old to be in their computer system.
There are no FCC numbers on the set anyway because they were sold in Europe.

Hi all,

I have already this handbook and schematics,, but there is also a SERVICE MANUAL, with detailed circuit description and alignment procedures.

It is nowhere to be found on the Internet, unfortunately,
I found one on a manual site, but I am not sure it is the real one, and they are asking big money.

Inbetween I have the IC-260's aligned as good as I could, they are very sensitive now and the audio quality of the output is real good, according local stations, so there is no immediate need anymore.

I am a nut that likes to have the complete documentation of the sets I own, if only for future problem solving.

Hi Wim,
I live in New Zealand. I have just bought a ICOM 260A and wondering about installing a miniature 12v battery into the rig to hold the memory channels. Interested in your ideas?
