IEEE /IEC symbol for multiplexer ?

I have searched in vain for a list of electronic /system symbols to
find a standard multiplexer symbol.

I thought I used the following symbol many years back

{courier}

+------+
| /|
---->| / |
| / |
|+ |------->
| \ |
---->| \ |
| \|
+------+
^
|
---------+

{\courier}

but I have received a comment from another engineer that he thinks
this should be laterally inverted (arrow inside the multiplexer
pointing in the output direction). My memory aid was that the two
inputs were to disjoint areas in the symbol.

I don't know if this is an IEEE or IEC symbol. If someone can give an
expert opinion on this, together with a citation to a valid instance
accessible on the internet, I would be very grateful.

TIA,
Paul.

The common symbol for a multiplexer is defined in IEEE Std 315A-1986
section 25.11. The symbol is a trapezoid with the narrow end pointing
toward the output.
