I'm not sure what you're looking for....? You say you have the installation manual for an old Astron 300 alarm system, b700ut the link you provide is for a request for a manual for a Scantronic 4700 Alarm Control.

I've never heard of the Astron 300 alarm system, but I worked with professional-grade systems in North America, from the mid-70s until about 2010 (and still do occasional work to keep my hand in). If Astron is not a system normally installed and serviced by professionals--in other words, if it's a hardware-store or mail-order DIY system---then I probably wouldn't have heard of it. The old Do-It-Yourself alarm system brands tended to lose tech support (including manuals) after a few years. (I'm still waiting to see if the current crop of DIY stuff fares any better.)

How old is it? 2000's, 1990's, 1980's? If it's a professional-grade system, do you know the dealer who installed it?

The last time I saw a Scantronic Control was in the '80's, and they were old then. However, I've spend decades working in North America, and there are lots of different brands in Great Britain, Europe, and Asia (and possibly other places) that I've never heard of. What part of the world are you in? It makes a difference. And good luck finding a manual for anything more than 25-30 years old, unless it was a really popular brand.

Good find, Martaine. I didn't look for the Scantronic 4700 manual because I was/am unsure what OP was asking for. I couldn't find anything about an "Astron 300", if it exists; and I still don't know how it relates to the Scantronic 4700, if it does.

I couldn't find a copyright date in the 4700 manual, but looking through it, it looks like about 'mid-90s technology at latest. Hope it's what OP was looking for.

Apparently Scantronic was marketed here in The States in the 80s, before RF ("wireless") systems got ubiquitous, but lost out to domestic brands after that.

I haven't heard of an "Astron 3000/16" either, and there are no pics attached to your post. Pictures of your Control Panel, as well as keypad, might be helpful.
In Alarm-speak, "Control Panel" (CP) refers to the actual "brain" of the system---the keypad is usually just the interface between the CP and the User (you), but a picture of it is often helpful. The CP is usually located in a steel cabinet somewhere, usually about the size of a small bathroom medicine cabinet.

Sometimes an chain of dealerships (like ADT or Protection One) will re-brand (re-name) a popular alarm brand model, for vendor lock-in reasons (they want their customers dependent on them, not on competitors). For instance, ADT's "Safewatch Pro 3000" Panel is actually a Honeywell Vista-20P Panel. If Astron is one of those dealer chains, it might be using a DSC PC3000 panel, Napco MA3000 panel, or one of the earlier Ademco/Honeywell or other now-defunct brands. The actual model number, from the actual manufacturer, might not even resemble the Dealer name for the system. That's why pictures of both the CP board and keypad can be important to identify the CP we're working with.

AGAIN: What part of the world you're in might be relevant: North America, Brazil, Portugal, Galacia, UK, Korea, or where?

OK, I found a company named "Astron Alarm and Automation," based in Malaysia. So chances are that whatever brand they're using isn't one that I'm going to be familiar with. If you're in Malaysia, your best bet is to ask the Astron Dealership if you can have an Installation Manual for your 3000/16 system.

I don't know how they do things in Malaysia, but most of the companies I worked for over the years here in The States (USA) weren't stingy about letting customers have Installation Manuals (not just "User/Customer manuals) when requested. I haven't been able to find an Installation Manual for the "Astron 3000/16 on the internet, but I'm not the best at internet searches.

Rui De pinho, I'm sorry, but that doesn't look like any panel I've ever worked with. Just going by what I can see, it looks like something dating back to the 80s or 90s, but I could be wrong about that. Here's a link to a site where there are other alarm specialists. One of them might have come across it before.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say I don't think it's anything used (at least not widely) in North America.
Once again: IT MIGHT HELP SOMEONE TO FIND A MANUAL IF YOU TELL US WHERE YOU ARE.
