Hi,

I am trying to supply an LCD screen wich consume a little more than 100mA (LCD 100mA, Touchscreen controller 2.6mA, Backlight controller 1.7mA).
I am using LM317T regulator and it is connected as follow to generate 3.3V.
My question is should I use a resistor to limit the current on the VCC pin of the screen?
Any advises to improve the supply block will be welcome. :)

LM317T is the TO-220 package, It's fine for >100mA. If it gets too hot, add a heatsink. However, with an input voltage of 5V it's neither going to get hot, nor produce a reliable 3.3V (the overhead is just too close to the lower limit)

You probably need a low dropout regulator unless the 3.3V rail is non-critical.
