As clear from the subject I want to know whether any kind of feedback
is required for oscillation in an LC oscillator??

Yes, sort-of.
One must have sufficient *gain* in order to (more than) overcome the
losses, AND one must take that amplified output and feed it back so that
the *phase* (at least at the frequency of interest) is the same as the
original un-amplified signal.
So just having feedback is not sufficent, but it is necessary.

I think, since the oscillators are named after their designers, they
are more stable in their configurations.
