Is it possible to give electronics the advantages of photonics?

No, you are wrong. The sample rate should *not* be 1 hz. The bit-rate
should be 1 bit per second. The sample rate should 1/[bit-resolution
(number of pixels)] hz

what a waste of time.

How so?

The refresh rate for that thing would exceed the lifetime of any viewer.

10^36 (or 1e36 if you want to write it that way) seconds is a long time.

and how do you propose to construct hardware that can last long enough to
display the first image?

Can you produce massless electrons?

No. But this brings up another question. Do electrons go down as a
result of gravity? If so, maybe protons could be placed above the
electron channel and other electrons could be placed below the electron
channel, there by defying gravity.

Sometimes they're dumped. Ours just did.

In a blatant attempt to get back on topic ( ;-) ) why would electrons
going down under gravity have ANYTHING to do with photonics...?

Beats me. I gave up on trying to track Radium's mental processes, now
I'm just enjoying the show. Not a classy entertainment but hey, we
get what we paid for:)

I imagine him and habashi setting up a research lab. I'd pay money to
see that, I think ;-)

quite a hit.

OH yes. Plutonium powered motorbikes.... With photonic control

Go down WHERE?

Whatever direction gravity pulls it toward. Electrons have mass, so
they would move towards a gravitational force. Right?

A noble goal, no doubt. Keep in mind, though, that idiots can be (and
are) mass produced using cheap, low skill labor. So, you may have a
losing battle here.

Sure, and if you happened to have a free electron just sitting

But how that would be even remotely relevant
to anything being discussed here, I haven't the vaguest idea...

One reason why photonics has an advantage over electronics is because
photons are massless. Electrons have mass. Mass pulls objects towards
the source of gravity. If electrons were somehow allowed to defy
gravity, I guess this would bring electronics one step closer to
photonics. Am I right?
