Hello,

So here is what I am trying to create. A fairly simple shot timer for pistol competitions that has the following:

1. is hand held
2. fairly compact, think smaller cell phone size.
3. has an lcd display with room for 3 lines of information
4. gets activated by a push button to start
5. has up/down buttons to scroll with.
6. triggers a counter when getting a loud audible sound(pistol shots)
7. can send that information to a tablet via BT

Only thing it needs to be able to adjust is the sensitivity of the Mic for picking up shots and ignoring extra outside sounds.

Simple reset, push button once to reset, push again to start. On the start it will make a very loud beep to signal the competitor to start.

Information it needs to gather:
1. the time of each shot taken(split time)
2. total time from start to the last shot

SO to start with I am looking for recommendations on components for this. I will read up on all of the recommendations and select what I am after, then I'll be back with a bunch more questions to create this little gem.

Thanks so much for any and all help that I can get.

Sparky.

How are you with microcontrollers and design work, especially multiple requirements.
If no experience with the above, suggest you start study now and you might get there with your idea in 12-18 months or so.

When attempting the above, break the total down to individual requirements, then when that works, move on to the next.
When all work individually, combine them into one program.

No one here is going to design anything for you.
Good luck.

Not looking for anyone to design anything. I'm looking for recommendations on components to make this project. No point looking at a hyundai if you need a 1ton truck.

Everything you require is in my previous answer.
