How much did you pay at RS?
Thanks!
About $90, but the kit includes a $39 book in addition to the BASIC
Stamp 'Homework' board (that has breadboard, Stamp microprocessor,
RS-232 (serial port), battery clip, etc.), lots of components (servo
motor, many LEDs, two tiny pushbutton switches, cathods, resistors, LED
that you program to display a number), and a CDROM with lots of software
etc.
I must say the book with projects is VERY easy to work through, even a
teenager could work through. Almost too gentle a pace.
Software (Stamp Editor) installed flawlessly and connected to Stamp with
supplied serial cable (in kit) so you can enter, edit, save programs you
type from the book (they are just short 5 to 20 line programs), etc.
I went up to RS today and bought more stuff -- Bargraph LED, thermistor,
photocells; pretty cheap stuff to play with for the stamp.
