Hi
I've bough non function Artisan and wanted to fix it. There was a problem that sometimes it wouldn't start or it was going too slow.
First thing was to verify brushes and they have about 1 cm left.
So I decided to open it and see what happened. After removing the back panel I saw that everything is in dirt. Some kind of black sticky dust. It was stuck to everything, couldn't even say color of cables there as all of them were black. Then I took the robot apart and clean it up. Couldn't see any damage at all. Both mechanical and electrical parts seem ok. Removed the dust where it was possible but I'm afraid about the motor. The dust must have get into it as well.
Any ideas what to do next and where this dust could come from? Could it be dust from brushes mixed with grease? I've watched many repair videos before but never saw anything similar. I took the photos after removing most of the loose dust.
