Laptop charging circuit burned HELP!

Hello i have Advent 7555 gx with burned charging circuit. Laptop works fine, but not charging. Im asking help to find this part to buy somewhere.

I'd suggest to keep looking on Ebay etc. the right one may turn up one day. Good luck though as I've been looking for a similar board for months.

You're right. That looks pretty badly charred.

The problem is not only replacing the chip, but determining why it died that way in the first place.

The PCB looks to be damaged too, so it may be that you can't do a simple replacement of the chip.

it died because someone mismach + and - on a charger. :confused:

It seems to be a MOSFET power transistor (since it's being referred to as Q11) and it could even be a dual one. Googling for BD9R1N only produced two irrelevant results..

found needed parts :) now need to find who can resolder it. had a look to mainboard, seemsto be fine, just that chip burned

Mind telling us WHERE you found the parts, so that all here (and future) may also benefit?
