Hi, sorry if this is a silly question but how do I make a circuit with a latching switch. I have 2 components (an LED and a solenoid) that I want to move simultaneously when the user presses the latching switch. How do I do that? thank you so much any and all help and advice is very greatly appreciated.

Maybe a servo would be better than a solenoid?
Especially if you want the LED to move when the switch is pressed, regardless of the switch type.
If you tell us more about your project, we may have some better answers.

What is a "latching switch"?
A latching switch maintaines it's state after being actuated & will remain in it's last state
Untill toggled again (i.e.actuated).
A D flip flop is a digital latching switch rather than a analog mechanical latching switch.
You're just having a little fun?
Or your setting me up....
I must warn you,You make a better good guy.... than a bad guy, like me.,.
So be nice please...

Actually, if the switch is self-latching (called an alternate-action switch), you don't need a circuit. If the switch is a simple momentary pushbutton, then a circuit can transform this into alternate-action performance.

Which is it?
