Hello
I am making a table lamp and I would like to use dimmable LEDs.
I thought I had all I need: about 2’ of dimmable LEDs, A 24V power adapter, and a dimmer switch. Yet when I put these all together I can get the LEDs to light up but they're very dim and they won’t get any brighter.

These are the parts I have so far:
ALITOVE 24V 1A 24W DC Power Supply Adapter 100~240V AC to DC 24 Volt 1 Amp Converter 24 vdc 1000mA 800mA 600mA 400mA 200mA with 5.5mm x 2.5mm 2.1mm Plug for LED Strip Light CCTV Camera DC Pump

Am I missing something? Keep in mind I am trying to hide all the parts within the body of the lamp so space is limited.

Thank you
Hank

Hi Hank, I believe your problem is with the dimmer.
LEDs require PWM (pulse width modulation) to control brightness as opposed to incandescent lights.
