Hello friends,
we recently had a lightning strike near us. Since then, the TV no longer turns on,
The LED flashes 5 times when starting.
I have already opened the TV and made some measurements.
As can be seen in the pictures, the lightning strike has left its mark.
The 13V for the mainboard supply is present.
I can also measure a voltage for the backlight LEDs.
This is about 230V DC. When switching on, this rises by about 10V, and goes back to 230V. This happens about 5 times, after which the TV "gives up". (Measured at the marked points on the board (picture 5)).
The LEDs themselves I tested, they all work.
I think it is because of the current switching to the LED backlight.
However, I don't know which components this could be due to.
Also, the component next to the red capacitor looks a bit "worn". (picture 7)
I would be very happy about your help !

Hello there.
Very quickly notice this. perhaps further inspection is required I would see if the module can be replaced. If you could post the make of your unit & model number.
The driver's on the heat sinks on the other photos look damaged as well. My apologies.

Hello Delta Prime,
I inspected the diodes and mostest on the heatsinks with my multimeter and they look fine.
The right circle on your drawing doesn't look damaged, its just a bad photo.
The Model is L55S6_TDY
Code: BN44-01054A

Hello there.
Did you discharge those capacitors when you made your measurements.
While googling came across a hard reset. Pressing the power button for 30 seconds . Discharges the capacitors drains all the power from the power supply & resets the microprocessor. The red LEDs should turn on "steady state" not blinking. And if your TV turns on I'm going to go out and buy one.
