hey I was wondering what would happen if you tried to recharge a
nonrechargeable LiPoly (Li-(CF)n) battery. I think you would make Lithium metal
and fluroine gas, thus making a lithium-fluorine battery, about 6 volts.
Anybody dare to give it a try?

Firstly, it cannot be re-charged; secondly make sure you are in
another country...

I wonder what the fascination is with recharging non-rechargeable batteries?
It's probably nothing a couple of semesters of college chemistry wouldn't
cure, and it's probably less expensive than six months in the burn ward.
Recharging non-rechargeable batteries is like trying to teach a pig to sing.
It wastes your time and annoys the pig.

another country? Why?

Other countries do not take lightly to having their real-estate
destroyed.

Very dangerous for battery explosion. We have seen some bad accidents
from this type of venture. The chemical makeup of this type of battery
is not reversale, as batteries that were designed to be recharged.

It is a lot safer to replace the battery than to experiment with this
type of thing.
