I am in need of 10 or so LM383 audio amplifiers. They are obsolete. If any
one has a few to get rid of I would be grateful. reply to rike2 at
bellsouth.net.

The LM383 is often reputed to be a reverse engineered TDA2002

Quasar have a kit which says the TDA2002 or TDA2003 are a direct dropin
replacement for the LM383.

TDA2002

While the TDA2002 is obsolete the TDA2003 is still current from ST

At a pinch you may find the TDA2030 (higher power) is also a suitable drop-in
but you would need to investigate further.
