Hello all! I am in the business of generator repair... and there's one thing that ticks me off more than any other thing, and that's lugging around car batteries to do repair tests outside the vehicle's power source (the 12 volt car battery). I have yet to figure out how to build a power source equivalent to the batteries 600 cranking amp supply while maintaining the 12 volts. Can this even be done??? I have seen rewinding MOT's, and a host of other ideas, but just not sure about the reliability or safety of them. I am an electric motor rewinder by profession, and have considered redesigning a generator, but even that has me a little stumped.... any thoughts? Thanks!
