Is there a good tutorial somewhere to learn ltspice usage?
I know there are many examples built into it but I'd like something to learn
more basic usage first.

Depends on what you mean by "basic". If you want a decent reference on
spice syntax, download the PSpice reference manual. LTSpice is
compatible with PSpice syntax. There are aspects of LTSpice that go
beyond PSpice and other general spice programs. You need to go thru
the LTSpice help

If you want to find the good stuff about LTSpice, do a search in
sci.electronics.cad. Lots of good information that is not available in
print.

If you want to learn what spice is about, lots of engineering school
web sites out there with fundamental spice tutorials.

Oops, previous post sent prematurely...

spice syntax, download the PSpice reference manual. LTSpice is
compatible with PSpice syntax. There are aspects of LTSpice that go
beyond PSpice and other general spice programs. You need to go thru
the LTSpice help to learn about the operation of LTSpice. It's an easy
program to learn if you know spice syntax and have run other spice
simulators.

If you want to find the good stuff about LTSpice, do a search in
sci.electronics.cad. Lots of good information that is not available in
print.

If you are unfamiliar with spice syntax and/or simulation, lots of
engineering school web sites offer fundamental spice tutorials. You
need to understand spice syntax before you can use the program
effectively. LTSpice can read in ASCII spice netlists and run them.
Perfect for going thru the university web site tutorials.

As you're going through those online refs and LTSpice help files,
you can get add'l help in sci.electronics.cad and perhaps more
preferably for LTSpice specific stuff, the yahoo LTSpice (or
SwCADIII) group.
