LVTTL to RS-232 adaptor

Hello,
I am looking for a LVTTL to RS-232 adaptor.

I found a similar adaptor http://www.hvwtech.com/products_view.asp?ProductID=289

But this adoptor does TTL to RS-232.
Since I plan to convert the LVTTL output from a Virtex-4 FPGA to
RS-232 signal, I need LVTTL to RS-232 adaptor.

Virtex-4 FPGA many I/O standards including LVTTL, LVCMOS,...but not
TTL.

Would appreciate your support.

Thank You,
Muthu

There's a whole slew of chips from Maxim that will go from 3.3V logic
to RS232, for that matter they have chips that will work with anything
from 1.8 to 12V supply:

That's just a pair of inverters -- they make the argument that most modern PCs
work fine off of 0/5V rather than +/-5 (or 12 or...), but personally I'd
figure I'd have one of the few PCs left out there that didn't function OK at
logic levels. :)

No worries, most modern PCs don't have serial ports at all.

Yep. The original RS232 "spec" is no longer existent :-(

Not actually true. EIA/TIA-232 is still alive and well. As is the
descendants of RS-422, RS-423, RS-485, and many others. A lot depends
on the particular (often not conforming) implementation.
