Hey There,
I am brand new to this forum and already love it. 2 mins ago I googled electronics forum and here I am!
Please excuse my excitement. I have a question regarding schmitt triggers, more specifically the 74HC7014
(http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/74HC7014.pdf)
The circuit I am replicating only calls for one Schmitt trigger so I do not want to use a whole hex IC. Refer to this thread for the circuit topic (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=108591.0)
Here is the actual schematic I will be breadboarding. As you can see in the top left corner there is the 74HC7014.
MY QUESTION IS: How can I create a precision schmitt trigger using an op amp?
According to wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmitt_trigger), I can but am unsure how to go about doing this. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
